As the integrated regional centre, Haier Singapore is the main platform to provide trading, R&D, big data, cybersecurity, legal and sales supports to over 80 countries in Asia, Europe, Africa and North America markets. As a practice of 'the world is our R&D centre', we are actively connecting Haier to the global innovation communities so that the brightest minds across all fields can see the areas that Haier is pursuing, and recommend solutions, contacts or resources to fulfil these needs. We are currently looking for Business Development Manager (R&D) to further support the growing needs from business. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Based in Singapore, you will be part of the global resource sharing platform (HOPE Global) to identify opportunities in the R&D field, further drive the resources growth and strengthen R&D strategic relationships. The daily and monthly responsibilities include: Build up the innovation ecosystem based on Haier's need which might include but not limit to the following services: technology scouting, expert consultation, joint development, M&A and so on Well connected in Singapore, Oceania, South East Asia and other APAC regional innovation ecosystem Be flexible and innovative in developing customized business models with different ecosystem partners Be able to promote Haier in public events in a professional way Be able to develop good relationship and diversified partnership with different ecosystem partners, for example, government, universities, start-ups, VC, incubators, associations and so on. KEY REQUIREMENTS The ideal candidates we are looking for should be a seasoned R&D professional with: Bachelor or master degree in science or engineering background will be preferred. Track record of successful engagements with different ecosystem partners Able to communicate with people at all levels about goals, responsibility, performance, expectations, and feedback effectively. With a strong grasp of technology and passionate in touching base and learning the latest technologies and trends Confident, optimistic and great teamwork. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Chinese (to liaise with Mandarin speaking stakeholders).
