Business Development Manager (regional Japan / China)

Job Description


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Identify & build relationships with current key suppliers & secure potential new suppliers in the Asia Pacific region, especially in Japan
  • Monitor and analyse sales data & market trends to gather business insights and propose business proposals to management
  • Implement defined sales strategies to achieve profitable business, develop relationships with suppliers and identify new revenue streams.
  • Attained detailed knowledge of the defined market(s), and trends, identify relevant suppliers and business partners.
  • Ad hoc duties/ projects as assigned by management
Requirements:
  • Good team player, goal-oriented and self-motivated
  • Min 5-10 years’ experience in regional imports & exports of automotive parts and components.
  • Familiar with customs, tax and duties pertaining to importing and exporting automotive parts and components.
  • Good interpersonal and communications kills.
  • Business Conversant Proficiency in Japanese Language, able to read and understand contracts in Japanese (Kanji)
  • Business Conversant Proficiency in Chinese Language, able to read and understand contracts in Mandarin (Simplified Chinese)
  • Able to generate and analyse reports and provide insights proposal.
  • Ability to interact with full organization hierarchy of suppliers and contractors. Comfortable with all levels, up to C-level.
