To strengthen the leadership team and build leadership capacity in relation to our client and sales processes, we are now searching for a Business Development Manager to support the region with a base in Singapore. The Business Development Manager will be reporting the Regional Director and APAC leadership team and work with our our Head of Communications, Marketing and Client/Sales teams to build our sales platform for the future and deliver/project manage proposals for especially cross-discipline and complex projects within the Asia Pacific region. Currently we have a presence in Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong/China, Malaysia and Japan with plans to expand further. We bid for projects in most of southeast Asia. Your responsibilities as Business Development Manager Your key tasks and responsibilities will be: Drive development of a coherent, improved and more professional setup for how we engage our clients Development of key client engagement plans and ownership of regional KAM concept. Ensure we utilise our platform and CRM tool to support more structured sales processes Project manage or coordinate delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframes with the Marketing team and client facing leaders. Coordinate and review / edit proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from the client, senior management, commercial and legal, internal disciplines and sub-consultants. Identifying and reviewing RFP requirements to develop a winning strategy. Estimating fee levels for review by heads of department Help drive proposals through relevant decision gates Ability to coach the proposal/marketing team in persuasive writing and proposal best practice. Follow up with Clients on submitted proposals. For this role, we believe your starting point is: Minimum of 7 - 12 years experience in business development, market pursuits and proposal management preferably within the construction industry but knowledge of (environmental) consulting also an advantage Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Advanced MS Word / Excel / Powerpoint skills & proficient in MS Office / Adobe InDesign Line Management experience would be an advantage.
