Critical Tasks and Expected Contributions/Results:Develop proactive strategy, with regular reviews, maximizing specific opportunities as they ariseResponsible for meeting assigned sales goalsResearch and develop new business opportunities within assigned geographic areas/industry categories/market segmentsGenerate and follow up new business leads to meet sales and profitability targets in line with overall strategyPrepare focused, client-specific presentations for new business emphasizing the USP of the Cigna product v the competitionBuild and maintain harmonious business relationship with benefits intermediaries to penetrate on individual client segmentsPrioritise and approach prospects directly for business opportunities by acting as an adviser to client on all aspects of their international medical insurance requirementsCoordinate case implementations to ensure seamless inception processesParticipate in specific projects, e.g. review of service standards, development of product and pricing strategy as well as product literatureExercises judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of both standard and complex techniques and procedures.Report to Head of Business Development on sales business achieved etc in line with agreed formatAccurate data base management of prospects/potential customer and opportunities by means of CRM software (SFDC)Key Challenges/Anticipated Changes in Environment:Develop proactive strategy, with regular reviews, maximizing specific opportunities as they ariseAbility to foster collaboration, value others perspectives and gain support and buy-in for organizational proposalsLiaise with internal departments, e.g. underwriting, claims teams, marketing, in line with established procedures to ensure optimum service to clientDevelopmental Value of Position:Ability to work independently to achieve ambitious new business targets.Lead the research and development of new business opportunities and products in local are.Liaise with other Cigna worldwide offices to develop opportunities; to drive cross sell activitiesExperience/Knowledge, Education and Other Requirements:Minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in healthcare provision at sales-related level with a focus not only on growth but also on profitabilityTechnical/Functional expertise: Project Management, Analytical, Financial skills and Product KnowledgeAbility to drive results through thinking strategically and executing a strategy across multiple geographic regionsAbility to foster collaboration, value others perspectives and gain support and buy-in for organizational proposalsAbility to work effectively with multi-discipline, multi-cultural teamsSupports and provides direction to more junior professionals.Personal Competencies Required:High level Sales/Negotiation, PresentationSelf-motivation, Sense of UrgencyEffective goal setting, Results DrivenProblem Solving, Business AcumenSelf-starter with the ability to demonstrate independent judgement and discretionStrong interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal)Strong Financial Acumen, Analytical and Negotiation skillsRegulatory awarenessInfluencing skillsInter-cultural orientationMicrosoft applications \xe2\x80\x93 word, outlook, excelAbout The Cigna GroupCigna Healthcare, a division of The Cigna Group, is an advocate for better health through every stage of life.
