Business Development Manager \xe2\x80\x93 Singapore \xe2\x80\x93 x2 positions available
As we continue our expansion plans in the Singapore market, Convera is looking to recruit 2 roles encompassing both BDM and Senior BDM in Singapore.

In your role as a Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Be responsible for identifying and driving new business to achieve individual sales targets.
  • Develop winning market strategies that align with the overall business strategy.
  • Prospect SMEs to Large Corporations over their currency requirements, risk profile, and payment solutions and progress toward securing sustainable, profitable relationships.
  • Oversee the end-to-end process \xe2\x80\x93 from initial prospecting/ self-generating activities including but not limited to leveraging on your network, attending self-identified and company supported industry and networking events, independently handling leads through the sales process, client set up, and early transactions.
  • Have effective account management to continue growing opportunities for your new customers acquired.
  • Be expected to maintain and develop knowledge across specific industries as a subject matter expert.
  • Act as the customer \'champion\' within Convera, looking to add value to differentiate Convera from the competition.
  • Work in a collaborative environment, leveraging internal cross functional teams and management to close sales opportunities.
  • Identify and develop key referral partnerships/ circle of influence relationships with associated organizations, partners, and advisors of our prospective clients.
You will ideally have:
  • Demonstrated success in new business sales in a fast-paced environment, consistently achieving targets and deadlines.
  • High self-motivation and confidence, with high integrity and tenacity to outperform the competition and succeed.
  • Strong business-to-business and solutions sales experience.
  • Demonstrate alignment with Convera\xe2\x80\x99s Values.
  • Experience preferably in remittance/ payments / risk management solutions industry, but if you have sales experience within any financial services related company, we are interested in you!
  • A strong understanding of consultative sales principles, and adept at executive corporate level negotiations and building long-term client relationships. You will be an independent self-starter with a tenacious approach to a new business acquisition.
  • The ability to work autonomously in developing new business growth whilst liaising with internal account managers to effectively manage the continuity of our customer relationships.
  • Financially astute with the knowledge of business needs and concerns, as well as the commercial impact of global news and events.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills across all media, as well as the ability to use technology (e.g., MS Office, web conferencing, search engines, reporting tools, and sales automation platforms such as Salesforce).
  • Proven experience of working within and selling to multi-national global organizations.
  • Certificate holder in (CMFAS license) Module 1B AND Module 5 AND 6A \xe2\x80\x93 preferred that you already hold, but Convera will support if needed.
  • Senior Business Development Manager should additionally:
  • have more than 8 years of experience in new Business Development within Financial Services.
  • be a subject matter expert with strong network/ relationship in specific industry(s).
  • have project leadership experiences gained in matrix and cross-functional environments with a track-record of delivering complex commercial wins.
