Job summary The Startup Segment Operations team is obsessed with delivering results for customers and colleagues alike as we shape, build and support AWS' Startup team. A diverse, innovative team, we love translating data, insights, and anecdotes into action and are seeking a passionate, results-oriented, and inventive leader to lead our Business Operations Service Center Strategy. The ideal candidate is expected to demonstrate the ability to spot risks and ask the right questions to ensure appropriate trade-offs are considered. To be successful in this role, you need to pair strong analytical skills and a data-driven outlook with strong intuition. The candidate shall be responsible for building and scaling the offshore team that shall support global business for Startup segment. This shall include putting the plan, laying down the org structure, defining roles and responsibilities, hiring of team members and their ramp-up plan. The role shall require strong understanding of processes, tools, dependencies and communication with stakeholders. These activities shall translate into building SOPs which will be rolled out globally to drive scale and productivity gain. The role shall require close collaboration across both Geographic and Cross-functional teams and leadership. The candidate should have the ability to define, refine and implement sales processes, procedures and policies. The candidate shall regularly measure the efficacy of current processes, SOPs, remove paper cuts and shall drive continuous improvement. The candidate should develop a strong output measure to report team performance. The candidate should have relevant prior experience (5+ years) in Program Management, Change Management and sales operations deliverable such as forecasting, pipeline management, Segmentation, Annual Planning, HC Planning. The offshore team will virtually/dotted line report into the candidate. The candidate should have managed large/virtual team in previous roles.

  • Ability to quickly turn ideas into written narratives and to clearly articulate plans and outcomes verbally and in writing, constructing cases which initiate change, understanding and projecting specific benefits to come from that change.
  • Experience incorporating data into change and communication plans, and in building plans that enable data-driven decision making.
  • Experience delivering global change management programs for large scale technology initiatives.
  • Experience creating and executing complex project plans with multiple dependencies, inputs, and outputs.
  • Masterful prioritization skills and the ability to manage competing priorities with varying timelines.
  • Certified in project management (PMI, PMP) or process improvement (Six Sigma).
  • Technical experience, with an understanding of the technology and cloud computing market, and a passion for Cloud products.
