The Role Responsibilities

  • The Business Planning Manager, CPBB CEO (BPM) reports to the CPBB Chief of Staff and is responsible for supporting the strategy implementation, performance management, operational and governance responsibilities of the CPBB CEO.
  • The BPM will support the CPBB Chief of Staff in executing the CPBB CEO\xe2\x80\x99s nearer-term priorities but also delivering longer-term objectives to optimise the effectiveness of the CPBB CEO and the CPBB Management Team.
  • The BPM needs to display strong business acumen and interpersonal skills as well as exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritise.
General
  • Support the CPBB Chief of Staff to manage agendas for CPBB Management Team meetings, ensuring meeting materials are submitted on time and decisions and actions are documented and tracked to completion.
  • Support the CPBB Chief of Staff in organising overseas visits in collaboration with local offices and coordinating all logistical matters for the CPBB Management Team.
  • Lead strategic projects for CPBB CEO Office, focusing on culture, transformation and employee volunteering
  • Organise global CPBB townhalls, leadership huddles and leadership meetings, driving alignment of shared outcomes across business and functions.
  • Prepare briefing notes, speaking notes and supplementary research in advance of meetings.
  • Undertake specific business projects and ad-hoc requests as they arise day-to-day.
Communications
  • Support the CPBB CEO communications agenda, working with CABM and the CPBB Chief of Staff in the development and execution of the CPBB CEO\xe2\x80\x99s communications plan to ensure effective communication of key messages across CPBB business and functions.
  • Prepare speaking notes and presentation materials for internal and external speaking engagements.
External relationships
  • Ensure the CPBB CEO is appropriately prepared for meetings with regulators, government officials, investors, clients, auditors, as required
People and Talent
  • Work closely with HR Business Partner/team to incorporate CPBB\xe2\x80\x99s people agenda into townhalls and overseas visits.
  • Support the building of good conduct in CPBB
  • Promote diversity and inclusion at all levels
  • Regularly engage with CPBB colleagues across all levels and business/functions to listen to ground voices
Governance and risk management
  • Manage and upkeep all CPBB Management Team collaborative sites and distribution list
  • Ensure relevant risks and/or issues are brought to the attention of the CPBB Chief of Staff
  • Support all governance and remediation related activities and ensure proper compliance
Special projects
  • Support the CPBB Chief of Staff in driving initiatives to Lift Participation as part of the CPBB CEO\xe2\x80\x99s remit as Group MT sponsor

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 8+ years of experience across banking
  • Exemplary business acumen and interpersonal skills as well as exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritise.
  • Expert communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 oral, written and visual
  • Strong inquisitive mind with the ability to structure complex information logically and plainly
  • A team player with the ability to interact, influence and work with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Experienced navigator of the organisation, with a good understanding of CPBB\xe2\x80\x99s business, strategy and purpose
  • Interest in and good understanding of macroeconomic, geopolitical and regulatory affairs
  • Able to work on broad strategic projects and day-to-day process-oriented tasks
  • Able and willing to adapt plans and workload at short notice
  • Excellent command of English. Fluency in a second language is an advantage
