Job Description


Role Responsibilities

  • Business Planning Manager to the Global Head of HR, TTO, a member of the HR Management Team.
Strategy and Business
  • In collaboration with Finance, manage the \xef\xac\x81nancial performance of the TTO HR function to ensure that budgets are met/exceeded within agreed \xef\xac\x81nancial parameters. Includes delivering timely and complete budget and forecasting submissions.
  • Coordinate and track the progress of TTO HR strategic initiatives.
  • Proactively manage all MI and reporting relating to the performance of the TTO HR function to e.g., the TTOMT, HRMT, HRLT, HR Scorecard and QPR.
  • Act as the point person for drafting and coordinating responses to external disclosure requests impacting TTO HR.
  • Support the Global Head of HR, TTO and other members of the TTO HR LT as needed on thematic work/projects/board papers/strategic initiatives.
  • Assist the Global Head of HR, TTO to prepare for and contribute to various committees and governance fora including TTOMT, HRMT, HRLT, QPR, Group MT and Board Committees. Includes reviewing, analysing and drafting papers, as needed.
  • Drive the TTO HR communication agenda in partnership with CABM to ensure colleagues (and, where appropriate, external stakeholders) are kept up to date with developments and improvements across the function.
  • Drive effective and efficient communication and ways of working within the TTOHR LT to maximise the benefits (and minimise the risks) of the hybrid model (to include effective use of MS Teams, One Drive and other communications channels).
  • Create and maintain internal intranet and/or diSCover spaces for TTO HR overall, and the constituent teams (e.g., Employee Relations, Diversity & Inclusion and Wellbeing)
  • Keep abreast of the latest external thought leadership in relation to Employee Advocacy and the constituent areas and update the TTOHR LT on developments as and when appropriate.
  • Relatedly: devise an effective system for TTO HR knowledge management.
Processes
  • Work with the Global Head of HR TTO to ensure an appropriate meeting framework and cadence for the TTOHR LT.
  • Organise TTOHR meetings, manage agendas, prepare materials and track action items.
  • Collaborate with the Personal Assistant to the Global Head of HR, TTO to maintain an annual leave tracker.
  • Monitor and proactively manage the Global Head of HR TTO emails in partnership with the Personal Assistant.
People & Talent
  • Track recruitment and headcount for TTO HR and handle all associated reporting.
  • Support the Global Head of HR, TTO and his/her HRBPs in identifying, reviewing and developing TTOMT talent.
  • Support the continuous evaluation and improvement of the resourcing model for TTO HR to meet its objectives (organization design, sourcing and shoring strategies, as well as key external partnerships).
  • Broker e\xef\xac\x80ective working relationships, structures and systems within TTO HR, other HR teams and key internal and external partners to help further the work of TTO HR and, ultimately, the overall strategy of the Bank.
Risk Management
  • Support TTOHR LT members in the identi\xef\xac\x81cation and management of TTO HR risks to ensure the highest standards of governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Support the TTOHR LT as needed in ensuring there is a framework for e\xef\xac\x80ective management of operational risks across the TTO HR function and compliance with applicable internal policies and external laws and regulations (liaising with the HR Risk team).
  • Project manage or support specific risk and process-related initiatives impacting TTO HR (either solo or in partnership with other TTOHR LT members), such as internal and external audits, assurance reviews, RCSAs and process reviews.
Governance
  • Support the assessment and delivery of e\xef\xac\x80ective governance, oversight and controls across the TTO HR function and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas.
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\xe2\x80\x99s valued behaviours and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Support the TTO HR team to achieve the Bank\'s Conduct Outcomes, particularly: \'Ethical Leadership\', \'Conduct and Behaviours\' and \'Sustainability.\'
  • E\xef\xac\x80ectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
