Lead and oversee project execution, ensure project is completed on time and within cost structure
Lead a team of project staff include consultants, contractors, and quantity surveyor snf provide necessary guidance and mentorship to ensure site activities are executed in accordance with specifications budget and time schedules
Report to General Manager regarding all issue related to site and project
Assist in reviewing tenders and contracts to determine accurate tender sums.
Responsible for periodic progress reports
Support progress claims preparation and liaise with client representatives to ensure smooth project execution.
Review and verify sub/ main contractor and supplier claims, prepare payment certificates, and obtain necessary approvals.
Prepare final accounts and variation submissions to ensure proper project completion
Manage and coordinate preparation of pre-tender documentation and response to tender clarifications and amendments involved and attends tender meetings leading to award of tenders.
Prepare contract documents for control and implementation of contract administration and reviews commercial aspects of contract and agreement with clients
Determine needed resources such as manpower, equipment, machine and materials from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
Identify potential or actual causes of delay and take preventive or remedial actions
Attend site meetings
Ensure all works complies with the quality, safety and environmental standards set by Authorities or relevant parties
Monitor submissions and clearances from relevant authorities
Monitor project cost and prepare general financial administration
Report example cost history for contract negotiation and budget
Check safety management system and conduct periodic safety inspection
Any ad-hoc tasks assigned by management
Job Requirements
Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Minimum 15 years of working experience in construction field and possess experience as business project manager
Knowledgeable in project management processes for all stages of project
Proficient in MS Project and MS Office
Passion in people and project management
Excellent decision making and problem solving skills
Good written, communication skills , negotiate skills and interpersonal skills as need to liase with several parties
Need to work overtime during critical periods as and when required
Able work well under pressure as need to complete tasks within deadlines
