We have an exciting position open within Caterpillar as the Financial Planning, Analysis and Reporting Manager for the Excavation Division, a multi-billion dollar business. This position supports a global business reporting to the Division CFO, managing a team in several locations. In this role you will have the opportunity to develop essential business information and be a thought partner to management for all divisional financial performance aspects. This position interacts with and presents to division senior leadership as well as the many internal customers within Caterpillar. Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Manage all aspects of the financial analysis, planning and reporting for the division, including the Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements. Provide insights on the financial results of the division on a regular basis and providing recommendations on actions. Establish Business Plan targets and creating annual and quarterly forecast and outlooks. Coordination of the division’s Long-term Financial forecasts. Implement new tools and analytics to continuously improve the financial analysis and business insights. Responsible for the analytics-based forecasting for the division. Supporting the financial aspects of the Sales, Operations and Planning process. Drive effective and strong coordination with business partners inside and outside the Division. Strategic thought partner with the division leadership to improve divisional financial results. Participating in the overall division’s strategy and development of OPACC Improvement Agenda (OIA) items to improve financial results. Tracking of OIAs and providing regular updates and reports thereon. Effectively lead, influence and interact with a global and diverse team across multiple time zones. Focused on talent development, succession planning, performance management and target setting. Basic Requirements: A bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting & Business 9-12 years of progressively responsible job-related experience Top candidates will also have: MBA, Certified Accountant, or Master's degree in a business-related field. Excellent communication skills and executive presence. Strong analytical skills. Strong people leadership and organizational capability building. Ability to influence, engage with a team across multiple geographic locations – nationally & internationally. Strong ability to collaborate and partner across peers and leadership. Ability to take an Enterprise point of view and lead with our Values in Action. Excellent interpersonal skills in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific action.
