Our client is a leading marketer and distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients, and am currently hiring for a Shanghai-based Business Unit Director with a focus on their Pharma business in China.
Responsibilities
Reporting to Managing Director of China and functionally to the APAC Business Group Director of Pharma, this position will be responsible for driving the growth of the Pharma Business in China in existing core excipient markets and development into new markets including APIs, Regulated Synthesis, Agrochemicals, Biopharma and Nutraceuticals. You will manage a pharma team overseeing and directing all aspects of commercial sales, new business development, customer service team, principal management, technical support from Shanghai Pharma Technical Centre. You will be responsible for offering the necessary support to the sales and business development teams to provide specialized advice to clients, and supporting the management of key pharmaceutical principals and the cultivation of opportunities with potential new suppliers.
Requirements
You will have a bachelor\'s degree majoring in Life Sciences, with at least 10+ years of experience in pharma and with strong experience in technical pharma sales in an international company. You will have demonstrated experience of strong growth in a pharmaceutical supply business in China, with deep understanding of the pharmaceutical market and pharmaceutical formulation technology. Strong analytical, organizational and strategic skills will be required, along with excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Experience in successfully developing cohesive relationships and producing strong business results, proven at developing and executing an effective strategy to drive significant growth, along with strong business acumen, decision quality and complex problem solving skills should all be your attributes.
