To support our expansion in Singapore, we are looking for an experienced & enthusiastic individual to join our talented team. The role requires an organised individual, capable of managing complex information and a diverse supplier base.Responsibilities: * Buying role for our Singapore business across multi-categories* Select and develop profitable new ranges* Generating new ideas on how to grow YOY Sales, margin and supplier A&P income* Building up strong relationships with suppliers to deliver effective and profitable plans* Working closely with the supply base to ensure in store availability is maintained.* Able to deliver meaningful reports and analyse the information / detail in order to get to the real issue and make a solution plan* Supporting marketing activities and campaigns in store* Manage backend functions for WH Smith skus on iShopChangi ecommerce platform* Keeping updated of market trends and competitor activity in a fast paced environment, to help identify new opportunities as well as changes to our existing offering* Working closely with other areas of the business including Operations, Business Development and Finance teamHours of work: Monday - Friday9am - 6pmOffice Location: Office at Changi Terminal 4The Requirements for the Role: * MUST have 2 - 3 years in Retail/FMCG background. Preferably with experience in Books and multi category buying.* Confident and approachable* Enthusiastic and excited about the product and travel retail sector* Ability to work cross functionally: Flexible, multitasking and adaptable person with transversal skills* Net understanding of business (i.e. buying, forecasting and stock)* Strong presentation skills* Uses creative thought process - on product, promotions, displays, deals etc* Excellent numerical and analysis capability* Strong Microsoft Excel skills* Proven track record of delivering strong levels of supplier income* Remains calm under pressure* Fluent in written and spoken EnglishJob Type: Full-timeSalary: From $3,500.00 per monthSchedule:
