-The Opportunity:Adecco is collaborating with a global technology leader known for its innovation and transformative impact across industries through advanced solutions. This company is at the forefront of technological advancements, offering state-of-the-art inspection tools, metrology systems, and computational analytics.As a Buyer/Planner, this role manages direct material procurement, ensure timely supply, drive cost and lead time reductions, oversee supplier relations, optimize inventory, and enhance production efficiency through continuous review and proactive actions.

• Work location: Serangoon
• Work hours: Mon-Fri, 9am - 6pm (Hybrid)
• Salary: up to $7,000 + AWS + VB

The Job:

• Manage procurement of direct materials, components, and equipment per MRP or Re-order Point system.
• Analyze planning reports to ensure timely material availability for production.
• Improve Gross Margins through supplier negotiations, rework cost reduction, and cost variance management.
• Reduce materials lead time by collaborating with suppliers to improve cycle times and implementing VMI programs.
• Ensure timely Purchase Order execution and address supplier issues that impact supply quality and capacity.
• Coordinate with suppliers on delivery schedules to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Review and execute changes on ECO/ECN projects to prevent production delays.
• Optimize inventory through quarterly reviews, minimizing excess and improving inventory turnover.

The Talent:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics (or equivalent).
• 3-5 years of experience in buying and production planning.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, with SAP experience preferred.
• Experience in low-volume, high-mix manufacturing and basic understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) beneficial.
