The Department and position
The department is responsible for development and maintenance of Capital Market IT applications (in-house and package) used worldwide, covering Front Office (Murex, Apex, Orchestrade…), Back Office (Summit, Calypso…), Market data referential (Asset Control..), Market Risk (in-house application on big data technologies).
The FX IT division works across the full value chain to sustain business activity and enable its acceleration (thru integration of new financial products, optimizing and automating front to back business processes).
This role aims to develop on the Calypso back office package, in project mode as well as maintenance, and to support the “run the bank” function. It requires a deep understanding of the nature of business operations, timing of activities & data flowing through internal and external systems. The build and support team continuously works with business users, infrastructure engineers and system managers.
Main responsibilities
1) As developer:
Build & change management
Develop in JAVA for Calypso v14.4 package.
Develop internal components.
CI/CD implementation.
Incidents and Requests management (business users and other IT teams)
Analyse enhancement requests and bug-fixes.
Document deliveries.
Change management
Apply monthly release strategy, following the team’s milestones for analysis, coding and testing. Release testing, performance analysis.
Support the release roadmap in production.
Operations management
Application support, level 3 (expert).
Troubleshoot and fix issues.
2) As support analyst:
Application monitoring
Define and implement the needed application monitoring. Use monitoring as code whenever possible.
Supervise and monitor daily and monthly chains and handle user request by working closely with project, infrastructure and production teams
Support overnight batches which take place during the Singapore morning and early afternoon time to ensure that problems are swiftly analyzed and resolved to minimize down-time.
Process and issue daily, weekly and monthly reporting on data quality of risk chain in which the activity is usually more intense on monthly run.
Incidents and Requests management (business users and others IT teams)
Provide level 2 application support to the business users.
Analyse and manage incidents/requests.
Problem management and continuous improvement
Collaborate with build team to assess the priority of the problem and propose long term solution.
Able to work Shift:
ASIA time zone : 9am – 6:30pm SGT
Or EMEA time zone: 3pm – midnight SGT (summer season) / 4pm – 1am (winter season).

Minimal education level
Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent
Academic qualification / Speciality
Bachelor’s degree in relevant specialties (IT, finance).
Level of minimal experience
6-10 years
Experience
Minimum 8 years working experience in relevant roles.
Minimum 8-10 years experience as JAVA developer and experience with Calypso as a FO/BO system.
Understanding of financial products (FX, Monday market) and trade lifecycle.
