Director/Senior Director, Equity Advisory \xe2\x80\x93 India

As more cross-border capital looks to India and other Asian real estate markets for investment opportunities, the APAC Equity Advisory team is looking to hire a Director/Senior Director.

As part of the APAC Equity Advisory team, the individual will need to work closely with the India Capital Markets team to originate equity advisory transactions, while also playing a key role in educating offshore investors on the opportunities in the Asian real estate markets, with a focus on India.

Reporting into the Head of Equity Advisory, APAC and a dotted line reporting into the Head of Capital Markets, India, the successful candidate will be required to work hand in hand with the India Capital Markets team to focus on the origination and execution of real estate transaction and investment banking activities within the primary areas of:

• Private Capital raising (Private Funds, JV\xe2\x80\x99s, Clubs, Co- investments)

Portfolio recap deals

• Entity level, Corporate and M&A advisory

The candidate will have strong financial and analytical skills as well as intimate knowledge of the Asia real estate markets, in particular India. The candidate will be the practice area expert covering opportunities across all sectors in the India real estate markets and be the key point of contact for offshore investors who are actively looking to invest in India real estate.

In addition to the India portfolio, the successful candidate will need to work closely with the CEO of Asia Pacific Capital Markets to develop and manage major client relationships and originate equity transactions for the APAC markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Development & Transaction Execution \xe2\x80\x93 India (40%) \xe2\x80\x93 Proactively engage in business development activities through networking, industry seminars as well as leveraging the existing relationships of other business units; with a focus on large global institutional clients with direct or indirect exposure to India and large Indian groups seeking offshore capital partners.

• Investor Identification and Education \xe2\x80\x93 India (20%) \xe2\x80\x93 Working with the India Capital Markets team to continually engage with the international investor community and keep an active list of potential new entrants.Playing an active role in the international investment community, the candidate will be the \xe2\x80\x9cexpert\xe2\x80\x9d on the opportunities in the Indian market \xe2\x80\x93 and will continue to educate and connect major global capital sources to our platform in India.

• Investment Banking / Large Equity Advisory Transaction Assignments (20%) \xe2\x80\x93As a key member of the Equity Advisory team, the successful candidate will need to play an active role in major equity advisory transactions in key real estate markets in the APAC region.

• Key Account Management / CRM (20%) \xe2\x80\x93 Development and management of existing and prospective client relationships for the benefit of the wider APAC Capital Markets team. Key clients and relationships to be determined.

Key Requirements:

• 8-12 years of executing transactions in real estate investment banking, private capital markets, corporate advisory and/or real estate funds management
• Superior analytical and financial analysis skills.
• Understanding of structuring and equity raising for indirect real estate investment with the ability to handle more complex and independent deals and responsibilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Expert knowledge and relationships with global indirect real estate investors
• Strong interpersonal and people management skills with cultural sensitivity and the ability to credibly interact with potential clients including Fund Managers, Listed Real Estate entities, Institutional Investors, Family Offices and Real Estate Developers
