Job Description


Role Responsibilities
The individual is expected to manage at a group wide level

  • Provide leadership, vision and strategy for growing and evolving Cash Payments, products and solutions.
  • Governance, commercialisation, and P&L oversight for the products in the portfolio
  • Manage and enhance the product platforms in the portfolio to meet current and future needs
  • Responsible to ensure that innovation around products & services are identified, developed and/or enhanced to grow drivers, revenues, and profits, consistent with overall Transaction Banking strategy
  • People leadership for immediate and broader team across product, technology, and operations
  • Thought leadership articles and engagements
  • Collaborate with Global & Local Product Managers, Global Service & Client Implementation teams, Global Technology and Operations to deliver solutions to meet our changing business, client, and regulatory landscape.
  • Accountable for the development and delivery of product capabilities, evolution roadmap and global footprint and managing franchise risk.
Strategy & Business
Drive business origination and go to market efforts:
  • Lead a team of strong SMEs in delivering best-in-class transaction banking products and TTO strategy to meet the business objective of Cash Product
  • Escalates and manage client issues through final resolution
  • Partner with TTO to ensure that TOM align with business strategy
  • Support commercialisation success; Ensure that the product being rolled out are fit for purpose
  • Support client / RFP demands in partnership with Product Managers and TTO
  • Manage investment demands and priorities
  • Implement processes to effect
  • Drive product capability & delivery roadmap; align with product/ sales commercialisation strategy
  • Prepare investment plan; manage product creation / program initiatives in partnership with designated project managers
  • Manage external vendor relationship
  • Deliver executive program reporting

Product Development
  • Anticipate and identify emerging client needs in the treasury management space, including changes in regulations, tax, competitor landscape, or macro-economic environment
  • Work with group and country teams to improve product delivery and fulfilment to improve client and internal stakeholder experience
People & Talent
  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
  • Role models effective change behaviour by being flexible and adaptive while maintaining focus.
  • Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
  • Employ, engage and retain high quality people, with appropriate succession planning
  • Responsibility to review team structure/capacity plans.
  • Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports. Provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.
Risk Management
  • Take the initiative regarding regulatory, reputational and ethical matters, taking the initiative for providing proactive advice to clients as identified. Coach and manage the team in these matters and ensure they are adequately trained in and cognisant of regulatory, reputational and ethical risks
  • Embed the Group\'s values and code of conduct and develop a robust culture to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations among team members.
  • Ensure that Risk Management matters that are brought to the job holder\'s attention are subject to direct remedial action and/or ensure adequate escalation to Regional / Country Banking Heads and Group/governance committees, as appropriate
Governance
  • Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group\'s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
  • Responsible for delivering \'effective governance\'; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively; and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\'s Values and Code of Conduct .
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
