Job Description

:

1. JOB PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive sales, profit and market share through implementing strategic initiatives forthe assigned category.
• Source, implement and manage an optimal product mix.
• Manage pricing strategy, promotional plan and ensure price competitiveness.
• Price negotiation, establish and maintain strategic partnership with the suppliers.
• Work with various stakeholders to ensure sustainability of supplies/monitor stockmovement and business continuity.

2. CRITICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Achieve Financial Targets

• Achieve sales budget
• Achieve market share target

Inventory management

• Ensure no out of stock/aging stock situation
• Ensure optimal stock level and quick turnaround

Strategic initiatives

• Implement tactical plans to achieve the strategic initiatives
• Manage/Involve in assigned projects (e.g.event/fair/festive/presentation etc)

Category Management

• Manage and track budget
• Sales and product demand forecasts- Ensure price competitiveness against majorcompetitors.- Effective price negotiation to achieve cost saving- Ensure promotion effectiveness-Review and develop product strategy

Qualifications:

3. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma, Degree or equivalent

RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in the buying industry.
• Experience in the retail will be an added advantage

• Able to lead a team, and work independently
• Motivated, meticulous and results oriented
• Resourceful and problem solving
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Team player and ability to collaborative and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders etc

Other Information:

• Work location: FairPrice Hub (Jookoon) (eventually will be shifting to Sunview Rd FFDC)
• Work hours: Mon-Fri, 8.30am-6pm
