Catering Sales Manager

Job Description


Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for revenue generation in the Catering Sales Department. You will ensure maximization of Banquet room use and meet monthly sales target. You will also coordinate with members, guests, vendors and all departments within the Club to ensure all banquet events are executed smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and propose strategic promotional activities and devises marketing plans
  • Prepare banquet sales reports/forecasts, proposals, contracts, etc.
  • Seek feedback from members and to identify improvements and potential new offers
  • Conduct site inspections and handle enquiries pertaining to banqueting, handle reservations and allocate function rooms
  • Inspect function rooms before every event to ensure that the set-up is in order
  • Prepare banquet event orders and ensure that all functions are carried out smoothly
  • Covers Catering Sales Executive role in their absence and handle other ad hoc duties
Requirements
  • Diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of Catering Sales experience with at least 1 year in similar capacity and with sound knowledge of the Food & Beverage industry
  • Team player, good problem solver who thinks outside-the-box in difficult situations
  • Resourceful, high level of attention to detail and possess strong work ethic
  • Strong business acumen and has an understanding of budgeting and financial management
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • May be required to work on some weekends and/or public holidays
