Caterpillar is hiring for our highly regarded Sales Representative Development Program, which is designed to build employee skill sets through customized development focused on supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. When you join this program, you will be part of an Asia Pacific team participating in rotational assignments focused on developing your industry, product, application, marketing, and technical knowledge - all with an intense focus on Caterpillar\'s customers. Each person hired into the Commercial Representative Development Program is assigned a coach to help guide your progression through the Program. You will receive personalized onboarding, soft-skill, sales and technical training specific to your field assignments, and participate in a variety of rotations across the business to ensure you have the means necessary to achieve your career goals.

As a future Industry Sales Representative in the Marine team you will consult with dealers to market Caterpillar Marine products and services and assist in the development of dealer sales capability. The team is passionate about meeting the needs of our customers against the background of rapidly evolving sustainability goals and are vigilant about enhancing our offerings through enhanced customer service, new innovative solutions, services and technology offerings. Our global reach and presence are unmatched in the industry.

Your rotations will be tailored to best prepare you for your future field sales role within our Marine sales team. Based on your interests, skills, and abilities, you may enter rotations designed to prepare you for your field role in; aftermarket sales, machine sales, marketing, dealer development, product applications to name a few. While working in the rotational assignments, you will have opportunities to travel internationally and to regional Caterpillar facilities and customer sites.

Required Skills:

Must have accredited university in one of the following degree programs: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business

Enthusiasm for sales

Strong interpersonal, communication and influence skills

Must have an advanced level of proficiency in both written and spoken English

Must be willing to travel extensively (up to 50%-70%)

Desired Skills:

Relevant work experience related to one of the following: marine industry or industrial energy and power

Analytical skills to understand data and propose solutions

Ability to influence change through collaboration and experience in stakeholder management to complete projects

Prior leadership experience. This may be within a student, volunteer, or extracurricular organization

Strong ability to work independently and collaborate with others in a variety of work environments

Ability to guide change and solve problems

Strong sales and technical aptitude

Must be willing and able to relocate domestically/internationally based upon business need in the future
