Your future team:

Disclosure Of Interest ('DOI') is a critical Compliance function, wherein JPMorgan Chase & Co. (i.e. the 'Firm') monitors and discloses its interests in relevant securities to issuers, regulators and/or relevant markets, pursuant to the various laws and regulations across most global jurisdictions in which the Firm operates.

The Asia Disclosure of Interest ('DOI') Team aggregates JPMorgan's global positions of securities in the Asia Pacific region across all Lines of Business; primarily Corporate & Investment Banking, Asset Management, and Custody. Due to the highly regulated foreign ownership limits and takeover code regulations in Asia, the DOI Team also disseminates threshold alarm reporting to some jurisdictions to ensure our investment and trading activities work within the stipulated regulations.

What you will be responsible for:

  • As a Senior Associate, you will provide advice to all lines of business of the impact of positions & transactions to APAC regulatory reporting and perform rule-based data collation & analytics to support timely responses to inquiries.
  • You will provide oversight and act as an escalation point for our offshore processing team to ensure the timely and accurate monitoring & submission of daily regulatory reporting such as substantial shareholder reporting, takeover reporting and short sell reporting.
  • You will read & interpret regulatory reporting rules across the APAC region closely and work closely with and build strong working relationships with key partners such as Global DOI teams, Front Office, Middle Office, Country Compliance, Line of Business Compliance and Legal.
  • You will prepare tailored-made holdings reports for business groups on an ad-hoc basis, support audit & regulatory requests for information and prepare MIS reports for management on a regular basis.
  • You will assist with the implementation of new/revised processes and systems; review, implement & update control procedures for new products & regulations; and run projects to enhance the efficiency of the daily monitoring & report/filing creation processes
  • You are also expected to identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, enhance controls changes suggesting efficiency tools and automation, for example, formulas, macros, robotics.

What skills and experiences we are looking for:
  • We are looking for candidates who are degree qualified with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in APAC regulatory reporting and Equity & Equity related products; experience in advisory and offshore management functions, will be an advantage.
  • A bachelors degree or equivalent in Finance or an other related field.
  • We're interested in people with diverse experiences and transferrable skills to join our team, including those with a background in Compliance, Legal, Middle Office or other Operations related areas.
  • You will need to have strong attention to detail, strong project management and problem-solving skills and be able to see the big picture.
  • We're looking for team players who are independent, analytical thinkers; they should be proactive, self-motivated and can quickly adapt to the fast-paced work environment.
  • You will have good interpersonal and influencing skills; able to communicate effectively and provide timely advice to our stakeholders.
  • Having strong business ethics and integrity when dealing with confidential and sensitive information is also an essential quality.
  • You should be familiar with APAC regulatory reporting obligations and be proficient in Microsoft excel.
