Responsible for agreeing with stakeholders the delivery of the group wide RM strategy for all coal spend. End User Involvement Create and manage an end user/stakeholder network to capture and document business/hub requirements and to assess and challenge requirements to create value. Frequent international travel as and when required to develop network of stakeholders and suppliers Develop the implementation plan and lead the network of stakeholders to deliver change Discuss requirements with stakeholders to support overall RM strategy development and finalisation. Source to Contract Approach the market in a consistent and systematic manner for fulfilling user requirements. Manage the international supplier base in a proactive manner to generate value and guarantee security of supply. Lead negotiations with international coal suppliers Ensure competitive delivered value-in-use with active leadership of CoE/ PTG and through identification of integrated supply chain solution Commercial Risk Management Perform supplier review with regard to contract performance, financial stability, long term capacity issues, under/over reliance to particular sources of supply on a defined regularity as per Supplier segmentation Perform contingency planning for known risks Contract Execution Management Manage supply contracts. Define with stakeholders inputs (Legal, shipping, CoE/ PTG etc) required from them Resolve contract disputes and performance issues Strategic Supplier Management Define the nature and management of appropriate relationships with suppliers based on supplier segmentation Hold regularly reviews with suppliers regarding opportunities for performance improvement, enhanced joint working and value creating opportunities Monitor progress and success across cost, quality and service criteria Management of Support Networks Set out and manage the support networks with entities and business units to ensure that the RM category is effectively managed from strategic to operational level. Work closely with regional and local networks within TSG Procurement to ensure purchasing activities support global strategy Ensure accurate and detailed reporting of costs and forecasts at Group and entity level Requirement: Engineering Graduate (B-Tech or BE specifically) in any discipline of Engineering or Full time MBA from reputed institute in any discipline Work experience in the following functions:- Sourcing & Supply Chain Management, Plant Operations, Marketing & Sales, Planning functions and Improvement groups Understanding of iron making process, usage of different kinds of coals in coke ovens & blast furnaces in steel manufacturing Working knowledge of supply chain (shipping & inland logistics) in India and Europe is desirable Behavioral Competencies Drive for Results Customer Orientation Business Acumen Decision Making Collaboration & Interpersonal Effectiveness Influencing and facilitation skills Customer Insight Problem-solving and conflict management
