Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Charterer located in Duo Tower, Singapore through 31 July 2023 at 11:59 p.m. (Singapore Time).

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

Responsible for negotiation & execution of spot & term contracts in the international tanker markets.

Provide marine commercial expertise to Chevron entities in the region to enable successful execution of enterprise level strategies.

Gather, interpret & analyze market intelligence to develop a robust forward market view.

Contribute to the development of sector specific tanker shipping strategies.

Manage business relationships with industry participants to create sustainable value for the enterprise.

Develop & manage freight risk management solutions to increase enterprise value

Collaborate w/ shipping & trading teams to mitigate freight risk through physical & financial (ex. Freight-related derivatives) solutions

Contribute to the company\xe2\x80\x99s financial goals (pnl, daily earnings, freight benchmark performance, enterprise value capture)

Job Requirements:

An understanding of the global tanker market and business drivers across the value chain.

Strong negotiation, analytical & communication skills.

Strong networking and influencing skills with both internal and external stakeholders

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a high\xe2\x80\x93pressured environment

A collaborative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in any discipline.

Experience in leading cross functional projects.

Experience in Chartering or commercial negotiation experience is essential.

Familiar with freight derivatives mechanism solutions & framework

Extensive knowledge of marine contracts (charterparties) and tanker markets is preferred.

High level of shipping / oil trading / operational experience

Strong and creative commercial skills

High standard of verbal and written communication skills and ability to derive and enhance value from commercial relationships

Strong analytical skills and negotiation skills

Relocation Options:

Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
