INPEX ENERGY TRADING SINGAPORE PTE LTD(hereinafter \xe2\x80\x9cIETS\xe2\x80\x9d) is a crude oil and gas trading company in Singapore that focuses on the sale of crude oil and natural gas produced by the INPEX Group. The company has been increasing the trade volume of crude oil and gas and is now hiring Chartering Executives reporting to Head of Operation & Chartering.   • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Business, Commerce, Laws, or any related field
  • Possessing at least 3 years of relevant working experience in oil/gas trading company handling tanker chartering related duties
  • Good understanding of the various charter parties, commercial contracts, laytime and demurrage provisions and the terminology associated with the petroleum industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and IT-savvy to be able to use other software/platform required for trading & operations
  • Ability to work under pressure and independent and team player with good analytical and communication skills
  • Strong ability to anticipate and mitigate risks and take initiatives in proposing alternative solutions to issues
Skills
  • Experience in Tanker chartering & operation is a must, especially in spot chartering, participation in negotiation of contracts and drafting the related agreements
  • Knowledge in Maritime law
  • Knowledge in Upstream contract
  • Knowledge in oil products quality control (especially light distillates)
  • Business level Japanese language skills is a plus
  • Experience working for a Japanese company is a plus
Position Objective
  • Contribute to the smooth Crude oil, Condensate and LPG production by appropriate operation and chartering
  • Build and maintain the good relationships with buyers, sellers, shipping brokers, ship owners, terminal operators, joint ventures partners, Trading team, Middle office team, LNG team, Finance and Administration Team in INPEX Energy Trading Singapore (IETS) and relating team in HQ.
  • Build and enhance the chartering function and capability of IETS.
Job scope summary
  • Execute spot chartering for Afra / Clean MR tankers, and negotiate renewal of COA contracts and drafting the related agreements.
  • Contribute to the smooth Crude oil, Condensate and LPG production by achieving efficient offloading through the planning and execution of optimal vessel chartering and allocation.
  • Manage day-to-day operation and coordination of vessels, monitoring vessel performance and reporting
  • Schedule and strategize vessels, optimizing Oil/LPG loading and/or unloading with Oil/LPG Traders, Operators and internal stakeholders
  • Cover vessel vetting and nomination, voyage orders and ship operations monitoring
  • Handle Vessel operations, vessel vetting, instructions on loading/discharging/ inspections, demurrage management, cargo insurance matters and related trouble-shooting; and handle disputes/demurrage/claims
Primary Duties and responsibilities
  • Negotiate and charter tankers (though the spot market / COA negotiation), achieving competitive and innovative freight solutions.
  • Propose & implement changes to the way to increase overall profitability, including but not limited to spot / COA negotiations, vessel allocation and loading & discharge scheduling
  • Collect, and review data related to tanker freight / flows to identify areas of improvement to enhance total efficiency
  • Lead precise and regular communication with different stakeholders (tanker operator, terminal operator, trader, shipowner and broker) to ensure full alignment and implementation of changes
  • Monitor / synthetize / communicate freight market information and trends to the rest of the team
  • Vessel operations, vessel vetting, instructions on loading/discharging/ inspections, demurrage management, cargo insurance matters and related troubleshooting;
  • Liaise with finance team to facilitate smooth invoicing and payment for cargoes, freight and all the operational expenses.
  • Liaise with buyers, sellers, shipping brokers, ship owners, terminal operators, joint ventures partners etc to ensure smooth operations, avoid supply disruption and minimise demurrage costs.
  • Record/update the database related with the above transactions
  • Conduct lifting operations in accordance with relevant Offtake agreements and related agreements (possible including review and cover Offtake agreements and relating agreements )
  • Attend the necessary meeting with buyers, sellers, shipping brokers, ship owners, terminal operators, joint ventures partners, Trading team, Middle office team, LNG team \\, Finance and Administration Team and relating team in HQ etc
  • Support Trading team and conduct trading business related if necessary
