Chartering Executive - Dry Bulk

International Trading & Shipping Company

An international trading and shipping company, established over a decade ago and headquartered in Singapore with a presence across seven global locations, is seeking an experienced Commercial Shipping professional to support its continued business growth.

The Role

This is a broad commercial position managing the company's own cargoes in dry bulk commodities across global trade routes, including North and South America and Asia. The role offers full ownership of a portfolio and requires close involvement in both chartering activities and shipping operations. It is well-suited to a professional who enjoys a balance of negotiating deals and ensuring smooth voyage execution.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and execute chartering activities for the company's dry bulk cargoes, including negotiations and fixture execution. Oversee shipping operations related to owned and chartered vessels, ensuring smooth voyage management and problem-solving as needed. Take full ownership of assigned cargo portfolio, from planning to execution. Monitor global dry bulk markets and provide insights to support commercial decisions. Liaise with counterparties, shipowners, and internal teams to deliver reliable execution and value.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in dry bulk chartering and shipping operations, with a proven track record in managing global cargo flows. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to balance both deal-making and operational execution. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities. Adaptability and agility to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
