Charting & Operations Executive
Job Description
:
Responsibilities:
Solicit and assess agency quotations from shipping agents prior to final appointment to ensure favourable terms.
Negotiate and secure competitive agency rates that align with cost and service expectations.
Coordinate with agents to monitor tanker movement schedules and ensure seamless operations.
Arrange for pilotage in Singapore, including inward clearance, vessel berthing, unberthing, and outbound passage.
Track and report on vessel operational status, proactively advising stakeholders of key developments.
Direct and instruct vessel crews on procedures for cargo loading and discharging operations.
Compile regular operational updates and status reports for charterers.
Engage with customers regarding payment follow-up and resolve any outstanding issues efficiently.
Requirements
Requirements:
Degree / Diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Logistics Management or an equivalent qualification.
Minimum of 2 years' chartering, operations, or post-fixture experience with shipowners, charterers, or shipbrokers.
Familiarity with commercial aspects of ship operations and management is preferred.
Sailing experience will be an added advantage.
