Opening in 2023, Artyzen Singapore will be the first new hotel added to Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s Orchard Road district in over a decade. What was once the sprawling home of the late Tan Hoon Siang (grandson of Singapore philanthropist Tan Tock Seng) is being transformed into a 20-story luxury property. The 142 rooms will sport a distinctive aesthetic, fusing reinterpreted facets of Peranakan art and style with contemporary design. Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the efficient and smooth operation of all food and beverage production in various outlet kitchens which includes events and stewarding area.
  • Work with culinary team and front of the house service like a free-standing establishment, maximizing potential ROI.
  • Ensure consistent and high-quality cuisine taste and presentation according to the guideline and standard set by our consulting celebrity chef, Victor Liong and the Executive Chef.
  • Maintain and update accurate costing and documentation of all dishes prepared and sold in the food and beverage operations
  • Manage day-to-day kitchen activities, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve team member performance
  • Solicit guest feedback to improve food and presentation quality
  • Assist with addressing customer questions and issues relating to kitchen services
  • Work with Director of Restaurants and Bars in menu planning, food and beverage coordination, table arrangements, decoration options, etc.
  • Ensure that all menu items are prepared and presented according to established recipes and standards.
  • Monitor competitor and industry trends, making adjustment to menu on a periodical manner.
  • Responsible for all food hygiene and safety measures in all kitchens.
  • Other ad-hoc assignments and projects as needed
Requirements
  • 3 years of relevant experience in restaurant group, private club or luxury hotel chain performing similar role and capacity
  • Excellent in dealing with guest challenges and maintain composure under pressure
  • A team-oriented leader with an open-communication approach
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and be flexible as part of the pre-opening team
  • Passionate and enthusiastic with a positive \xe2\x80\x98can-do\xe2\x80\x99 attitude
