Job Title : Chef de partie

Purpose of the role: To assist Sous chef and Head chef, and bring the best to the table.

You Will:

  • Be responsible for a specific station assigned by the Head Chef, Sous Chef, or Junior Sous Chef
  • Ensure consistency and quality of dishes within the assigned station
  • Ensure proper rotation of stocks within assigned station, and that ingredients are fresh and prepared on time
  • Manage inventory within assigned station to avoid dishes being 86
  • Monitor portion and waste control
  • Oversee maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards
  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in development of recipes, and new items for the menu
  • Manage and train Commis Chefs
To excel and be outstanding in this role, you need to
  • Have attention to detail: this applies to food plating, amongst others
  • Take the initiative when it comes to handling daily operations
  • Have a positive attitude
  • Be consistent in managing your station
  • Be able to manage time effectively
  • Guide new members of the team
  • Adhere to the given recipe consistently
Skills
  • Fluent in English
