A Chef is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting food to the highest standards. They manage kitchen operations, maintain hygiene and safety standards, and ensure dishes meet company and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and prepare menus according to restaurant style and standards
Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation and hygiene
Ensure all dishes are prepared on time and meet quality requirements
Manage inventory, food costs, and minimize waste
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
Monitor food storage and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a similar environment
Knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and kitchen management
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts preferred
