Job Description

a~ Prepare and cook South Indian Udupi style foods of all types as and when necessary.
a~ Supervises and coordinates activities of food preparation, kitchen, pantry, and storeroom personnel and purchases or requisitions foodstuffs and kitchen supplies.
a~ Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation.
a~ Supervises cook and tastes, smells, and observes food to ensure conformance with recipes and appearance standards as per Udupi style cooking standards.
a~ Monitoringquality of dishes at all stages of preparation.
a~ Determine production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure timely delivery of services.
a~ Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
a~ Check the quantity and quality of received products.
a~ Involve in receiving & checking ingredients required in kitchen.
a~ Ordering & inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards.
a~ Convey clearly any maintenance of kitchen equipmentaEUR(TM)s and other security problems.
a~ Train and instruct cooks and workers in proper food preparation procedures.
a~ Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients, season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment.
a~ To Maintain the Quality and Hygiene of the food and also the Kitchen area.
a~ Must have minimum 3 years of working experience in Udupi Karnataka Style South Indian Restaurant.
a~ Must be Proficient in Udupi Karnataka restaurant functioning including food planning ,preparation & grinding, work place safety & security, people management, record keeping.
a~ Should have good knowledge of Udupi Karnataka South Indian Food recipes and ingredients.
a~ Able to prioritiesaEUR(TM) orders and know how to run a functioning kitchen
a~ Ability to engage in physical activities which requires long hours of standing during work hours.
a~ Capable of handling Kitchen staff.
a~ The Senior Cook must set the example of someone who keeps the kitchen running smoothly in spite of how busy it becomes
