Summary

The Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer (CMSO) for GE Healthcare is responsible for marketing and growth strategy throughout the AKA Region, aligning strategy and execution across all geographies and modalities and contributing to deliver profitable growth. S/he will carry overall responsibility for marketing, strategy, commercial excellence and commercial operations and working in partnership with the global and regional GEHC leadership teams to deliver on our mission to be the leading provider of outcomes-based solutions. The CMSO will define priorities for the AKA region that have the greatest commercial potential, and direct strategic business and marketing activities to enable continuous growth across the different P&Ls and segments in the region.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Develop the AKA region marketing and strategic plan (with input from key stakeholders), and drive the execution of this plan across the business, ensuring alignment of Zone and segment priorities with the overall AKA strategy.
  • Work closely with commercial product and sales teams to develop powerful value propositions and clinical solutions for all key product lines, and ensure consistency and best practice sharing across sub-regions;
  • Provide overall functional leadership for the marketing team members within each sub-region and across the global COEs supporting the AKA Region, including product marketing, field marketing, advertising & promotion, customer & market insights, clinical solutions events, and digital marketing.
  • Direct market research and analytics activities to identify market opportunities, customer needs, market size and growth, and develop & maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of trends and requirements in the healthcare market within the AKA region.
  • Manage the GE Healthcare brand among key stakeholders, and work to establish GEHC as the preferred brand in the market and ensure differentiation against competition.
  • Play a key role in growing the business for GEHC and looking for new business opportunities and potential strategic alliances; identify opportunities to improve healthcare delivery access to wider population and work with government agencies to enable positive policy formulation.
  • Develop business cases for growth projects (e.g. for presentation growth board or similar) and lead such transformational projects through to launch in partnership with sub-region teams.
  • Enable design and optimization of GEHC\xe2\x80\x99s AKA go-to-market strategies to maximize share, growth, profitability and risk management objectives
  • Drive quarterly market share analysis, and coordinate monthly bowler metrics and region strategy review process, providing a strong interface between global modalities and AKA Zone /segment teams
  • Responsible to develop and execute a wing-to-wing Indirect indirect channel strategic framework and enhance critical commercial capabilities across AKA.
  • Develop and implement AKA region omnichannel customer engagement strategy that expands coverage, increases reach, and improves customer retention in close partnership with Marketing, Digital Technologies/IT, Channel, Product, and Services teams.
  • Drive Sales Force Effectiveness across all channels; including process for sales resource optimization, sales force capabilities, and incentivization.
  • Drive commercial excellence in partnership with sub-region commercial leaders to enable strong solutions to operational aspects of the business such as visibility, win rate, pricing, NPI launches, customer connections, sales force effectiveness and other related areas.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • MBA or Masters\xe2\x80\x99 degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in healthcare capital equipment or medical devices industry
  • 10+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in product/region commercial marketing and strategy
  • Strategic thinking and ability to translate strategy into actions; experience establishing comprehensive strategy and plans for business growth
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills; strong analytical and process skills
  • Leadership skills to lead teams and shape/lead growth vision and marketing strategy
  • Teaming skills \xe2\x80\x93 Ability to influence, motivate and work with diverse, cross-functional teams, across levels
  • Experience interacting with customers, marketing/product management groups, and other industry experts
