We are in search of an experienced leader to take up the Chief role for our capital mobilisation work. The position is part of the senior leadership team assisting to steer the direction of AVPN’s strategy and development. The Chief manages a team based throughout Asia and there is a large component of people management in this role, including guiding the growth and development of the team.
The capital mobilisation team works with capital providers and impact organisations to bridge the gap between demand for and supply of human, intellectual, and financial capital. We support foundations, corporates, HNWIs, impact funds in their strategic deployment of funding, and partner with technical assistance providers to address non-financial needs. In working with a diverse group of capital providers, we seek to scale impact organisations and their work by strengthening the solutions pipeline.
The Chief will play an essential role in managing and building on existing verticals, such as the Deal Share Platform, philanthropic funds, and capacity-building programmes. In addition, they will strive to create new products that will help to diversify revenue opportunities and better serve key stakeholders. The role also oversees the delivery of partnerships, projects, and funds under capital mobilisation.
This position will be based in Singapore and report to the CEO.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the leadership team and the board to develop the strategic vision for the organisation
Be responsible for the design and execution of the key pillars of the Capital Mobilisation team
Take responsibility for the P&L for products and services under this vertical
Enhance and expand existing products
Deal Share Platform, Pooled Funds, Impact Management Initiatives, Advisory services
Lead new product development to expand and diversify revenue opportunities.
Support Partnerships team with developing new revenue opportunities and proposals
Develop strategic partnerships and relationships with members, vendors, and other professional business relationships
Requirements
At least 15 years of experience in philanthropy, international development, grantmaking, social finance, or related field
Demonstrated experience in a key management role with a proven ability to lead
Proven leadership success with P&L ownership and a verifiable track record of rigor.
Ability to proactively analyze relevant business drivers and strategies with senior management and colleagues to put in place appropriate processes and controls.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a small team and build trusted relationships
Track record in developing multi-sectoral partnerships
Ability to coach, lead, and inspire a team
A problem-solving mindset with excellent organizational and leadership skills.
A passion for social impact
