Description

Often described as one of the most admired and market leading Energy & Power Groups in the world, the Group has been in steady growth, with businesses across the energy value chain including gas, power, and renewable energy. As a result of internal mobility and growth ambitions, the Project Development arm of the group is now on the search for a Chief Project & Business Development Officer to lead investments, and project development activities for gas-fired, LNG-to-Power, renewable and alternative fuels power projects.

Role

Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Project & Business Development Officer will lead and manage the development of power projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful project execution. He/ she will identify and evaluate potential power project opportunities, including gas-to-power, renewable energy projects, and conventional power plants. Through feasibility studies, risk assessments, and due diligence, the Director and team will coordinate with key decision makers such as government authorities, investment partners, and lenders on potential projects. In view of the evolving gas and power, renewable, alternative fuels such as ammonia/ hydrogen landscape, it is often that Chief Project & Development Officer networks and interacts with the industry players, policy agencies, and think tanks, to keep abreast of developments in the power markets. This is a team managerial role and will lead a high-performing team of investments, project development, financing managers.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be degree qualified in a finance, economics, or engineering discipline, with a minimum of 15 years\' experience in the gas and power industry with extensive experience in power project development. As this is a leadership role, you should ideally have a minimum f 10 years of executive management experience as director or equivalent in companies such as Independent Power Producers. You will also be described as an all-rounder with track record in the various areas of commercial, financial, legal, technical, accounting and tax. Industry network within Asian Power industries and the related sectors will be critical to the success of this role.
