Job Description

As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will lead the development and execution of the company's technology vision, product innovation strategy, and digital transformation roadmap. Your core mission is to architect scalable, intelligent automation and energy management solutions that align with the Singapore Green Plan 2030 and support our clients' ESG goals. As a founder-level executive, you will drive product development, oversee engineering and R&D teams, and cultivate partnerships in the AI, IoT, and building automation ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Leadership & Vision

+ Define and execute the company's technology strategy aligned with business goals.
+ Spearhead the architecture and design of IoT- and AI-powered platforms for BMS, SCADA, EMS, and smart lighting systems.
+ Stay ahead of emerging technologies in AI, automation, sustainability tech, and cloud computing to guide innovation.

Product Innovation

+ Lead the development and roadmap of BZERO's flagship products, including AI-integrated building management solutions, plug-and-play energy monitoring tools, and smart automation systems.
+ Ensure modular, scalable, and secure design of IoT infrastructure and AI models.
+ Drive cross-functional product ideation, prototyping, and validation cycles.

Team & Project Oversight

+ Build and mentor a high-performing team of software engineers, AI developers, IoT integrators, and solution architects.
+ Oversee the full product lifecycle--from concept to commercial deployment--ensuring timely delivery and quality assurance.
+ Facilitate agile project management practices and continuous improvement.
+ Collaborate closely with the CEO and business leads to align tech development with strategic goals and market opportunities.

Strategic Partnerships & Business Alignment

+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between tech development and business strategy.
+ Engage with partners, clients, and government agencies to co-develop cutting-edge solutions.
+ Represent BZERO in industry forums and innovation challenges as a technology thought leader.

Governance & Security

+ Implement cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory compliance frameworks across all platforms and solutions.
+ Ensure resilience in architecture to mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, tariffs, or tech restrictions.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline Proven experience 5-10 years in automation, building management systems, and IoT-based solution delivery. Strong knowledge in Open Protocols (Modbus, BACnet, MQTT), AI integration (OpenAI, n8n), and cloud architecture. Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage multi-disciplinary projects. * Entrepreneurial mindset with deep interest in green technologies, sustainability, and smart infrastructure.
