Job Description


On behalf of one of its clients in the wine industry, The French Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Chief Transformation Officer based in Singapore.

The company is going through a comprehensive transformation plan to adapt its processes, technology and operating. This transformation requires significant change and will be led by a dedicated Chief Transformation Officer committed to driving change and ensuring that the company achieves its strategic plan.

The CTO\xe2\x80\x99s responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive transformation strategy, that aligns with the organizations overall goals and objectives;
  • Collaborating with the directors to identify sources of simplification and efficiency and creating plans to improve them;
  • Convening and leading cross-functional teams, acting as a transformation enablers to the other Directors, to execute transformation initiatives, which may include redesigning business processes, implementing new technologies, or changing the organizational structure;
  • Working with the chairman and vice-chairman to ensure that the proposed transformation initiatives are consistent with the strategic plan;
  • Developing and implementing a communication plan to ensure that stakeholders are informed of and involved in the transformation initiatives;
  • Managing risk and ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies;
  • Leading change management efforts by developing change management plans, communicating the need for change, engaging stakeholders, and addressing resistance to change.
  • Monitoring progress by establishing metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and other measurement tools to monitor and measure the progress of transformation initiatives. The CTO will regularly review and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of transformation efforts and making adjustments as needed.
  • Identifying the need for hiring external consultants and, if approved, coordinate their work;
  • Helping to foster a culture of continuous improvement: encouraging innovation, learning, and adaptability. This may involve implementing processes and practices that support continuous improvement and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and agility.
Requirements
  • Educated to a graduate or post-graduate level from a leading university or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 8 years of experience in a senior leadership / C-suite role or changement management consultancy in a multicultural environment.
  • Proven track record of driving transformation plans, with a hands-on approach and the ability to deep-dive into processes with operational teams to optimize and reengineer them.
  • Experience in the wine industry or logistics/transport or Food and Beverage is a plus but not a must.
  • Experience in technology is also a plus.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address business challenges and opportunities.Strong resilience to overcome obstacles and perseverance will be required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving collaboration across departments and functions including logistics, finance, HR and IT.
  • Bilingual in French and English, both written and verbal, to liaise with the headquarters in France.
