JOB DESCRIPTION
The Engineer II (Estimating) performs tasks related preparation of bid proposals and estimation works associated with the existing and prospective projects.
- Maintains a database of material and labor costs for reference
- Presents information of prospective projects to stakeholders
- Prepares bill of quantities (BOQ) and unit cost analysis for bid projects
- Evaluates proposals from sub-contractor bidders
- Reviews project deliverables such as but not limited to specifications, project drawings and other related items for the estimation process
- Tracks and maintains all estimations to further evaluate possible change and ensures accurate project development
- Provides technical support to junior engineers and project site employees for more accurate estimations
- Maintains and file pertinent documents related to estimations
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Registered Civil Engineer
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in project construction, particularly jetty/port construction
- Well-versed in estimation works
- With good technical documentation skills
