About this role
As a world leader in its field, Arup offers the full spectrum of civil engineering consulting services. As part of the Civil Water and Resources team, this role covers a broad range of skills relating to civil infrastructure. In particular, the focus of the Civil Engineer is to undertake design and consulting services within the Civil Engineering discipline in order to enhance the team\'s portfolio of skills and expertise.

What will I do?

  • Provide design across project lifecycle from Master Plan and Feasibility Stages through Concept, Preliminary and Detailed Design and provide support to projects in construction.
  • Technical inputs that include areas such as earthworks, designing roads, drainage, water, sewer, WSUD, utilities, paving and minor civil structures and geotechnical elements.
  • Involved in small and medium sized projects, as well as being a key member of larger project groups. This will include design, technical documentation, input to cost estimates, tender submissions, project scheduling and meeting deadlines and budgets. You will work on a variety of Energy, Water, Land Development, Aviation, Rail and Industrial projects.
  • Represent Arup at internal and external events, meetings and workshops and you may be responsible for designing and delivering activities for such events.
  • Expected to support the growth of the Energy Water and Resources Infrastructure Capability in Singapore.
What will I bring?
  • Recognized relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering with minimum 3 years (post tertiary education) relevant industry experience in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on designing roads, drainage, water, sewer, WSUD, utilities and paving elements within a consulting business environment.
  • Minimum of 1 years\' experience delivering land development projects from pre-concept design to site phase for a range of clients including Local Government Authorities and/or Private Developers.
  • Knowledge and experience of Coastal Engineering as well as of aviation and rail projects is beneficial.
  • Experience in construction phase of projects and of Contract Administration.
  • Experience in the operation of software design tools including Bentley Systems, Infoworks, Civil3D or AutoCAD. In addition, experience using hydraulic modelling packages would be an advantage.
