Review project specifications, drawings, and contract requirements.
Develop detailed project execution plans, schedules, and material lists.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and main contractors on technical and program issues.
Liaise with internal teams (design, procurement, fabrication, site) to ensure smooth workflow.
Attend project and coordination meetings to update progress and resolve site issues.
2. Design & Technical Review
Review and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
Provide design inputs and ensure constructability of metal structures.
Check and approve shop drawings and fabrication drawings before submission.
Verify that drawings comply with design intent, standards, and tolerances.
Coordinate with draftsmen and BIM modelers for 3D modeling accuracy.
3. Material Management
Prepare material take-off (MTO) and bill of materials (BOM).
Source, evaluate, and recommend suitable materials and suppliers.
Ensure all materials meet project specifications and quality standards.
Monitor material delivery schedules and inventory control.
4. Fabrication Supervision
Oversee fabrication activities at the workshop.
Ensure accuracy of fabrication according to approved drawings.
Monitor quality control, welding standards, and finishing requirements.
Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspection and documentation.
5. Site Execution & Installation
Plan and supervise installation and erection works on site.
Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and fixing of steel and metal components.
Coordinate with site engineers and subcontractors to meet deadlines.
Manage site manpower, equipment, and logistics.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
6. Quality Assurance & Documentation
Implement quality assurance plans and inspection checklists.
Maintain project documentation, reports, and records.
Conduct inspections and prepare reports for client/consultant approval.
Ensure compliance with ISO and company QA/QC procedures.
7. Progress & Cost Control
Track project progress and identify delays or bottlenecks.
Assist in cost estimation, variation orders, and claims.
Monitor labor productivity and optimize resource allocation.
Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports for management and clients.
8. Safety & Compliance
Ensure all activities comply with workplace safety regulations (WSH).
Participate in risk assessments, toolbox meetings, and safety audits.
Enforce safe work procedures during fabrication and installation.
9. Handover & Close-Out
Conduct final inspection and testing of installed works.
Prepare as-built drawings and operation & maintenance manuals.
Close out punch lists and ensure client satisfaction.
Provide technical support during the defects liability period.
