About this role
A Civil Structures Engineer plays a critical role in the planning, design, construction and maintenance of various civil infrastructure projects that involve structures such as bridges, buildings, tunnels and other large scale constructions.

What will I do?

• Assist in design management, coordination, and project control on major infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate and liaise with internal and external parties in producing engineering designs.
• Attend meetings and manage communication records internally and with clients.
• Coordinate statutory submissions for civil and structural engineering design for projects including major rail and road infrastructure including managing the production of drawings and reports.
• Expected to work under minimal supervision within a defined area of responsibility on design activities. This may include being responsible for specific parts of an internal or external design project, managing, coordination and carry out detailed design and be responsible for checking the quality and accuracy of own work.

What will I bring?

• Recognized relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Relevant industry experience in civil and structural engineering design within a consulting business environment.
• Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership.
• Knowledge of major engineering design software and Corenet E-submission system is mandatory
• Good literacy and numerical skills and able to demonstrate strong design ability and engineering skills and knowledge.
