The Clinical Informatics Executive will be part of the EMR Committee to develop, support and implement clinical information systems and processes that facilitate optimal and seamless delivery of patient care with secured medical information.
Responsibilities
Understand, coordinate and support the implementation of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system including but not limited to system build, support tasks, requirements gathering, testing (including developing test plans and prepare test data), training users and working with relevant stakeholders
Perform analysis, design, development and maintenance of the hospital\xe2\x80\x99s EMR application systems
Support various functional groups such as Delivery Suite, Operating Theatre, NICU, laboratory, radiology etc within the hospital operations as part of the daily tasks and implementation work.
Review and rationalise requirements for EMR system enhancement during post live phase
Provide training and be responsible in engaging users to the hospital\xe2\x80\x99s EMR system for safe, efficient and effective use of the system
Provide both on-site and off-site support to end users of the EMR system
Provide clinical support and review identified gaps and propose system or workflow improvements to the EMR system
Work closely with the end users and IT/EMR specialists to learn and understand users\xe2\x80\x99 practices and procedures, and translate and implement them to meet the clinical business requirements into functional flow of EMR system
Be part of the on-call team for system application support at scheduled times
Troubleshoot and track issues and problems raised by users and work with IT and EMR specialists to solve them
Assist Change Management Leads to develop and implement change management processes to stakeholders
Provide guidance to users across all applications on challenging issues requiring vendor support and resources
Perform audit on data entered by end user
Generate and perform analysis on clinical data to support quality and patient safety, and present to management
Participate in clinical systems testing. Assess and propose training program and materials
Configure vendor application and products to meet the hospital\xe2\x80\x99s requirements
Organize and/or assist to lead Workgroups, feedback sessions and committee meetings including preparing agenda and minutes of meetings
Requirements
Minimum 4 years of continuous clinical experience in an acute healthcare organization
Nursing or any healthcare related degree/diploma from a recognised institution
Possessed good clinical or healthcare knowledge and good understanding of clinical terminology
Keen interest in using technology for the purpose of improving patient care
Experience in information technology in troubleshooting, technology design, programming and Data science
Adequate IT savvy, proficient in using Microsoft office applications such as MS Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook
Good analytical and communication skills with ability to communicate well with doctors and nurses Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
