Role Overview

As a Cloud Specialist, you will design, deploy, and automate cloud solutions, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. You will also participate in Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and demonstrations of cloud solutions, helping to continuously improve our cloud infrastructure and operations.

Responsibilities

Deploy and configure cloud solutions across AWS and/or other major cloud platforms. Automate cloud operations through infrastructure-as-code and scripts (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible). Participate in specification, setup, and execution of Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and demonstrations of cloud solutions. Maintain and continuously improve cloud environments, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security. Collaborate with engineering and security teams to implement best practices in cloud infrastructure and operations. Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements in cloud solutions. Document cloud configurations, processes, and automation scripts for operational efficiency.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Science (Computer Studies) and relevant degree Minimum 3 years' experience in cloud deployment, operations, or engineering. Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP. Strong knowledge of cloud automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.) and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell). Experience in Proof of Concepts and demonstrating cloud solutions. Understanding of cloud operations best practices (monitoring, security, incident response, and cost optimisation). * Strong collaboration and communication skills to work across technical and non-technical teams.
