Singlife is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior CloudOps Engineer to join our Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE). This role is key to ensuring the reliability, security, and operational excellence of our cloud platforms. You will be hands-on in AWS operations, troubleshooting, systems engineering, automation, and observability, working closely with Cloud Architects, DBAs, and application teams to drive continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in AWS infrastructure, Linux/Windows administration, container platforms, CI/CD automation, and end-to-end operational troubleshooting. A strong passion for automation, SRE principles, and improving operational processes will make you successful in this role.

Responsibilities


Cloud & Systems EngineeringProvision, administer, and troubleshoot AWS services including EC2, ECS, S3, EFS, FSx, RDS, VPC, IAM, and Lambda. Perform OS administration (Linux/Windows), including hardening, patching, and vulnerability remediation. Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and container-related issues across multi-tier environments. Deploy and manage container-based workloads using ECS, EKS, and Docker. Implement automation using Infrastructure-as-Code (CloudFormation, Terraform) and scripting tools (Python, Bash, Ansible, PowerShell). Support cloud security controls, IAM, encryption, backup, and compliance standards.

Operational Excellence & SREDrive operational improvements through automation, monitoring, and resiliency engineering. Participate in incident response, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes. Monitor platform health using observability tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, and Prometheus. Contribute to SRE principles including SLIs, SLOs, and reducing toil via self-healing systems and proactive actions. Support patching schedules and ensure platforms meet compliance and audit requirements.

Collaboration & Continuous ImprovementWork closely with Cloud Architect, DBA, and application stakeholders to ensure reliable service operations. Contribute to operational runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge sharing. Suggest and implement automation and process enhancements to improve performance, cost efficiency, and operational standards.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in cloud operations, systems engineering, or SRE. Strong hands-on experience with key AWS services (EC2, ECS, S3, EFS, FSx, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda). Proficiency in Linux and Windows administration including security hardening. Solid scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible) for automation. Experience with containerized deployments (ECS, EKS, Docker). Excellent troubleshooting across infrastructure, OS, network, and applications. Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows. Hands-on experience with monitoring, incident response, and operational governance. Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator. Experience operating mission-critical or regulated environments in financial services. Knowledge of hybrid-cloud environments (AWS and OCI). Experience implementing SRE frameworks, operational process improvements, or automation at scale. * Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks.
