Job Description

Overview

As part of our continued growth and innovation of our customer laboratory services, we are seeking a motivated individual interested in executing and developing new testing methods and innovation services to join our Customer Laboratory Services (CLS) team in Singapore. Aside from the execution of development work, the candidate will be responsible for conducting the laboratory and on-site experiments, analyze and interpreting the test results for the internal and external customers to prove product effectiveness. The position requires proficiency with analytical techniques.

Responsibilities

Critical Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Perform the routine test in accordance to the established standard operating procedure for CLS requests and projects
  • Undertake to troubleshoot problems relating to the experiments and lab equipment
  • Responsible for proper documentation of experimental data. To analyze and interpret experimental data, report results as CLS reports, trial documents and technical literature as needed
  • Development of new analytical methodologies, techniques, and test kits in accordance with customer requirements or market needs.
  • Participate in the design and development of protocols to demonstrate the efficacy of products in customer application
  • Execution of general laboratory activities: preparing reports, managing lab inventory, sample and test kit management and disposal, housekeeping, and other assigned duties
  • Work closely with the product management team, technical services team, sales team, research and development team, and the global counterpart to meet the objectives of all projects
  • Support the sales and marketing team in the business for customer-facing and marketing activities
  • Maintain and operate the lab equipment effectively and handle the lab equipment's troubleshooting and basic repair independently
  • Review of experimental methods and procedures to ensure their accuracy and applicability
  • Provide technical support for internal and external customers
  • Conduct trials and tests at customer site (when required)
  • Follow good laboratory practices

Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry (or other relevant scientific discipline), with at least 3-5 years of applicable laboratory experience
  • Candidates should be experienced with analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC-FID and Mass Spectrometry.
  • Candidates with a strong background in the enzyme activities assay would be a plus
  • Ability to travel, maintain flexibility, and work independently with minimal supervision. Business trip and field support will be required.
  • Able to take on additional tasks or responsibilities when required
  • Positive working attitude with strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, open to change and able to multitask
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate well with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a high throughput lab is preferred
  • Prior working experiences in the field-specific to swine, poultry, and/or ruminant would be a plus
  • Knowledge and experience working in a customer-oriented organization
  • Good written, time management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of basic descriptive statistics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel software.
