APAC CB Wholesale Payment Product Delivery Team
The CB APAC Wholesale Payment Product Delivery Team has responsibility for a broad range of wholesale payment products including payables, receivables, TSFX, merchant services, deposit and liquidity management products, etc. It is now working with the Credit Product Delivery & Strategy Team to look for a dynamic individual to join the team as CB APAC Credit Product Manager. The job holder will be responsible for the end to end strategy and delivery of the entire suite of lending products that the CB offers in APAC, and collaborate across the organizations, including front office, middle office, legal, compliance, credit risk management across APAC, as well as US based underwriters to offer appropriate credit product solutions to CB clients in the region, and drive the strategic agenda for the Credit Product Delivery team in APAC.

Key responsibilities

Credit deal advisory

  • Provide credit transaction advisory to front line bankers focusing on credit deals with a complex and/or cross-border structure.
  • Act as the escalation point for front line bankers in relation to credit product solutions and deals
  • Working closely with credit middle office and back office to ensure proper execution of key credit deals in the region

Credit product management

  • Apply the global credit product hierarchy to APAC clients with a closed end feedback loop on regional specific product requirements. Continuously refine and simplify the product set, including functionality, pricing, and delivery model
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage the design, approval and execution of new credit product solutions/initiatives/change management, etc, to meet the needs of CB clients in APAC.
  • Partnering with credit middle office, operations, technology and transformation teams in an effort to identify product simplification and standardization opportunities, and streamline the end-to-end execution of credit products to CB clients in APAC
  • Own and manage credit product related initiatives and projects
  • Manage the data and reporting strategy across credit and loan processing systems with a focus on:
o Establishing pricing guidelines and analysis
o Identifying product simplification opportunities
  • Provide credit product training/education as necessary to APAC bankers.
  • Resource to review and update local regulations in relation to credit products and communicate changes to credit risk, credit underwriters as well as front line bankers. Proactive identification and build out of the credit product risk framework and escalate of risk and control issues to business operations team in region

Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor Degree in Finance/ Economics or other related disciplines

  • 8+ years relevant experience in the field of credit product or credit risk management
  • Deep understanding of credit product suites or credit risk management in various APAC markets. Exposure to different regulatory environment preferred
  • Previous expertise and a true passion for design thinking, digital transformation and technology innovation, with proven success designing and delivering complex, digital and product initiative
  • Previous credit deal advisory experience preferred
  • Driven self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, managing multiple initiatives with different delivery dates
  • Demonstrated strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management skills with well-organized, structured approach; ability to achieve tight timelines on complex deliverables
  • Strong track record of a team worker, able to manage and forge partnership with a wide range of stakeholders globally
  • Creative problem solver, capable of developing innovative and differentiated solutions
  • Fluent in spoken and written English. Ability to speak and read Mandarin is preferred to cover China Market
