Following the CGA acquisition by world-renowned market research experts NielsenIQ in June 2022, \'CGA by NielsenIQ\' is bringing a host of world-class On Premise capabilities to many new markets for the very first time.

Our work helps beer, wine, spirits and soft drink brands to track essential market trends, to accurately benchmark performance against competitors, to understand their National Account customers better, to activate brand plans more effectively, to launch new products with less risk and to determine the range of products you ultimately should see on bars and menus all over the world.

The Client Solutions lead will play an integral role in the commercial direction and success of the CGA Japan business, and the successful candidate will be able to bring strong experience of alcoholic beverages and the On Premise/hospitality to bear alongside excellent commercial skills and experience.

Being driven, strategic thinkers, who are (ideally) well-networked in the sector, will help the successful individual to quickly make a difference and to thrive with the high degree of autonomy this position offers.

The APAC Lead Role:

  • Be fully responsible for delivering the key commercial lines of the APAC budget
  • To represent the On Premise vertical as part of the extended ALT
  • Lead, inspire and develop the pro-active sales culture for the region
  • To work seamlessly with local MD\'s to ensure alignment in GTM strategies, commercial activities, financial performance, forecasting etc.
  • Have a highly proactive approach to generating new business for the region and to build strong and lasting relationships with existing, lapsed and new clients, with a particular emphasis on consultancy, consumer insights, retail universe tools and RMS
  • Work with the local NIQ/CGA teams to maximise all opportunities, and to devise to and execute a strategy to drive revenue through a robust pipeline.
  • To support in-market Data Acquisition activity as needed
  • Maintain extensive market and product knowledge and work with the local and central teams on adapting products and services to match client requirements and market trends.
  • To represent the company at relevant industry events, webinars and in other thought leadership initiatives
Measurement and KPIs:
  • The development and growth of monthly revenue performance vs business plan in APAC
  • Overall employee engagement, retention and performance
  • Overall client satisfaction and retention
Qualifications
  • Experience and a successful track record of sales delivery and leadership in a heavily new-business focused environment
  • Strong commercial outlook - sales and revenue driven.
  • 3-5 years\' experience with an On Premise beverage supplier, distributor or research agency which touches the On Premise channel is preferred
  • Successful experience of leading a regional sales team and able to demonstrate effective performance management, people development and coaching skills.
  • Tough and durable personality
  • Creative, innovative and proactive. Open to new ideas and able to respond to client and market needs quickly.
  • Excellent sales, customer care, account management and negotiation skills.
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills.
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic.
