ACCIONA, in its Construction Business is looking for a Commercial Manager based in Philippines.

Responsabilities:

• Selection, management and supervision of the project’s commercial team.
• Provision of commercial and contractual advice to the project leadership team.
• Development and implementation of the Procurement Management Plan and commercial and contractual management policies, procedures and systems.
• Development of the Risk Management Plan, and implementation of a risk management culture across the Project aimed to an early identification and mitigation of commercial risks.
• Facilitating career development for the commercial team members, including identification of training need.
• Management of downstream commercial matters with subcontractors and design consultants, including but not limited to procurement, subcontracts administration, changes and claims.
• Maintaining commercial costs within the approved budget.
• Assisting the Project Manager to develop the quality, health & safety and environmental goals for the Project; and promoting achievement of these goals within the full project team; and,
• Ensuring compliance with Federal, Provincial, and local laws, particularly applicable Occupational Health & Safety Acts/Construction Safety Act regulations and environmental requirements.
• Develop and maintain a good understanding of the contractual, commercial and financial issues on the project.
• Provide direction, leadership and advise on commercial strategy for successful project execution.
• Prepare, maintain and facilitate access to the entire Project’s commercial documentation.
• Ensure that the review on all commercial matters relating to the project is made to the highest standard of diligence

• Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering, construction, or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in each of the following:

• Commercial management of infrastructure projects with value of US$ 200M+
• Working as Commercial Manager on construction projects
• Working as part of a joint venture
• Working under a FIDIC Contract framework

• Proven record of delivering commercial outcomes on major projects.
• Proven contractual and commercial management ability at senior level.
• Thorough knowledge of contract language and legal requirements of contracts.
• Excellent people management and leadership skills.
• Excellent teamwork, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to operate at the senior management level of the organization in a JV environment.
• Rail experience will be valued positively.
• Multi span viaduct project experience will be valued positively.
• Previous experience working in Philippines will be valued positively.
