An exciting 12-month Commodities Metals Reporting Analyst job has just become available at one of the most respected ratings agencies based in Singapore. You will be responsible for reporting on the markets for the two key steel-making ingredients as part of a larger team covering ferrous and non-ferrous markets.

About the Commodities Metals Reporting Analyst Role:
In this business critical role, you will be responsible for gathering and testing price information and obtaining an understanding of supply-demand fundamentals from speaking with primary market participants daily.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report on the Asian steel raw materials markets daily, generate price assessments, commentaries and news stories, work as part of a team
• Actively engage with market participants across the region on methodology and market developments
• Translate information gathered from the market into written content, and through presentations and other digital media
• Establish and maintain source relationships and take ownership of price reporting and methodology development for their markets, flagging changes to price trends and opportunities internally
• Source data by going through news articles, annual reports, government documents and online databases

To succeed in this Commodities Metals Reporting Analyst role, you must be well-organised with minimal supervision. The successful candidate would also require strong analytical skills. Relevant experience in a commodities and credit ratings environment is desirable.

Key Requirements:

• Self-starter with good time management, organisational and problem-solving skills, with an ability to handle multiple priorities
• Daily content in terms of price assessments, market commentaries and news stories
• Three years of experience in a metals or commodity markets in a reporting or analytical role
• Requires strong analytical, computational and quantitative skills
• Proficiency of MS applications required (Excel, Word and PowerPoint); experience with databases
