We are seeking a Communications Director to run Instagram communications in the APAC region. The ideal candidate should be passionate about Instagram, have strong consumer and brand experience with significant background in developing and executing high-profile campaigns and initiatives to reach our core audiences. To be truly successful in this position, the ideal candidate must be a strong people leader, able to influence and operate as a leader across the region. The candidate should have a strong network in APAC and can thrive in a demanding, fast-moving environment. You will have a deep understanding of how communications can work most effectively with creator partnerships, product, consumer marketing teams and you will have good interpersonal skills that enable you to work with our internal partners across the company, both in APAC and in the U.S. You will have strong experience in driving cross functional initiatives, as well as intimate knowledge of how reporters in Asia work, and you are an exceptional writer in English, with additional regional languages a plus, but not essential. The role requires creating and managing proactive and reactive communications strategies from planning to execution. You will manage a team across the region based in South Asia, South East Asia, North Asia as well as Australia and New Zealand. You will become part of the APAC communications leadership team, contributing to the overarching strategy of the function, and reporting to the head of global communications for Instagram. You will need to work closely with teams across the U.S. as well as the broader Meta communications team in APAC. This position is full-time and located in Singapore.
