:The OpportunitySave the Children is the world\'s leading independent organization for children, working in 117 countries with more than 25,000 staff. In April 2020, Save the Children launched the in Asia. CUBIC is the first \xe2\x80\x9cnudge unit\xe2\x80\x9d in the world to focus specifically on the most marginalized children\'s rights and welfare. Our goal is to apply behavioral science in order to reach more children and have an even greater impact on their lives.CUBIC is seeking a Master\'s or early career intern to support our communications strategy in 2025. We have a new communications strategy aimed at increasing our brand awareness and profile, and within this we need to produce engaging briefs/blogs on our work, increase our social media presence, and identify speaking opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesThe intern will be integrated into the 14-person CUBIC team and will have the opportunity to get involved in multiple projects - the expectation for the intern is that s/he would primarily contribute to: * Conference research

  • Identify a calendar of relevant conferences and events, plus abstract submission timetables
  • Drafting and editing blogs/policy briefs
  • Using project reports and through talking to project leads, identify interesting behavioral science/programme impact stories
  • Draft blogs/briefs for the project leads to approve and share
  • Provide editorial support for project reports and presentations
  • Social media posting
  • Lead the implementation of our social media plan
  • Create social media content based on team\'s activities and project work
  • Manage/support a team site on LinkedIn and other social media platforms
Skills Required
  • Enrolled in/or recent graduate of Master\'s/ early career in communication, journalism or media
  • Interest and experience in using social media for marketing
  • Experience of content marketing strategies
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Interest in communication of science/science journalism
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
Time RequirementsPart time internship. Expectation is for 8-12 hours a week, for a minimum of 6 monthsConditionsThe Intern will be engaged on a voluntary basis (non-paid) and will sign a volunteer contract with Save the Children. The working schedule will be determined by the intern; however, attendance during regular team calls and calls with our country partner teams will be important.LocationRemote/home-based, time zone up to GMT +/- 6hrsThe OrganisationWe employ approximately 25,000 people across the globe and work on the ground in over 100 countries to help children affected by crises, or those that need better healthcare, education and child protection.
