About the role

We are looking for a Communications Specialist to join our regional APAC communications team. As a team we are responsible for using the power of critical communications to enable business growth, strengthen our Credo culture, and build & protect our brand and reputation. Working closely with our local colleagues, we find opportunities where we can add new value with a regional perspective, help cascade global communications priorities and empower our local teams to go further to deliver for their local needs.

While the role primary focuses on engaging internal audiences (~70%), we will also give you broader experience in thought leadership, disease awareness and executive communications.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Bring together practical insights into our audiences and help develop, shape and refine our activations to surpass their expectations.
  • Craft content (written, video, podcasts) and formats to directly engage vital audiences.
  • Support communications planning for a range of programs, coordinating closely with local and global teams.
  • Seek out and produce content from within our business that have clear hooks connected to audience expectations.
  • Collaborate with teammates and business partners to create integrated external engagement campaigns across traditional and digital mediums to drive awareness of disease states or J&J solutions.
  • Play a key role to plan, organize and deliver virtual, in-person and hybrid events for internal audiences.
  • Take ownership of our collaboration sites to improve speed of access to key documents and ways of working.
  • Co-operate with several agency partners to deliver key activations on time and to a high level of quality.

We want someone to articulate your own ideas effectively, and be willing to experiment with us to take calculated risks. You will also learn how to set, manage, and deliver against our internal partners\' expectations.
Experience and Skills:

You need to be fluent in social, digital, press or other forms of communications and understand which you are most interested in pursuing.
At a minimum you will have experience in:
  • Writing, editing and proofing content for various audiences in English.
  • Running physical, hybrid or virtual events.
  • Planning and execution of communications campaigns.
  • Measurement and evaluation of the impact of your work.
  • Research and analysis skills to help advise and craft communications activities.
  • Developing content for social channels.
Other experiences that will help with your role are:
  • Media relation and press release writing.
  • Video creation, editing and production.
  • Experience on regional teams or projects in APAC.
  • Working with/for a large multinational company.
And as a person:
  • Able to stay motivated and positive even through lively periods.
  • Take feedback and learn from their experiences.
  • Unafraid to speak up and add their perspective to improve our work.
  • Value working as part of a team.
  • Focused on delivery and work independently to prioritize tasks against time pressures.

  • Must be highly proficient in English with strong proofing, writing and editing skills.
  • Proficiency in other APAC languages is a bonus but not vital.
  • 10% travel requirement - you may be required to travel within the APAC region for certain assignments.
