CARRO is looking to build a community team that sets out to help the company achieve its mission to be the marketplace of choice for all automotive needs, providing customers with trustworthy alternatives for improving mobility. This means building a community of like minded individuals to work towards the goal of providing authentic, trustworthy unfiltered car related advice that the community can count on.
Problem we need to solve:
Currently the car market is plagued with misinformation and dodgy forums. We want to be the Robinhood brand (aka Car Hero) that removes the anxiety around car ownership and brings back the simple joy of enjoying the ride. Once we have a sizable community size of many car heroes, we envision this community to render support like a “Seedly for Cars” or a “Quora for Cars” where the collective strength of the community can demystify car related matters.
Newly created role:
The company is hiring a first Community Manager to ideate and execute initiatives that are highly focused on building a vibrant automotive community that can discuss everything related to car ownership - buying, selling, financing, insuring, fixing, making a claim, good deals, tips for car maintenance etc.
Success in the long run:
In the long run, we aspire “Ask Carro” to be synonymous with the one-stop marketplace where anyone who has a driving license (or is about to get one) feels they can lean on for any questions. These initiatives will add value to the community members and support the company mission. On a subtle level, the community will render network effect to the Brand and help with top of the mind recall and positioning.
Key metrics for this role:
Number of sign-ups for Ask Carro, Questions asked and answered (even if they are syndicated in the beginning), events hosted that added new users to the community, vibrancy of the community, network effect on the brand
About the role:
As a community manager, you will be empowered to build a team from scratch to grow Carro’s community and the day-to-day runnings of Ask Carro. This will mean assisting the team in executing online, and offline initiatives and programs.
Reporting to the Singapore Content Lead, you will be part of the dynamic Marketing team with talents in SEO, Performance Marketing, Copywriters, Social Media Marketers, Videographers, Video editors and Graphic Designer. You will also be able to learn the ropes on community management, digital marketing, content planning and events management.
